5 Must Have Camping Gadgets for your Motorhome, Campervan or Caravan

I've been busy researching camping gadgets and gizmos for my lovely customers, so I decided to ask the very knowledgeable folks on the Facebook group, "Motorhome Happiness" which ones they couldn't camp without.

Here are the perhaps not unexpected results, sifted out from a total of 87 comments:-

1. Air Fryer

I must admit, we have recently added a compact air fryer to our camp kitchen and it has been a bit of a gamechanger, particular on a stopover with EHU when it's too much of a faff to get the bbq out.

2. BBQ

Having said that, the BBQ came in at number 2, whether that be a Cadac or Cobb bbq. We do all still love to grill our meat and veg outside. Rightly so!

3. Remoska

Sticking with the theme of cooking, a similar amount of you said you couldn't do without your versatile Remoska. One I'm going to be following up on for our van! Additional votes were received for the Omnia oven, multicooker, traditional paella pan or wok and Ridgemonkey. Clearly, easy preparation of food is high on the camping agenda!

4. PIR light (battery or rechargeable)

Another item not yet in our van, but I can certainly appreciate why you might want one. I have many a time scratched around in the dark looking for the light switch in the loo. A PIR light renders this unnecessary. Also great for cupboards.

5. Collapsible stuff

Ok, I grouped these together to bring them home at number 5. Votes came in for collapsible kettles, buckets, drainers, wash baskets. All of course excellent space-savers.

There were also many single or double votes worth mentioning, such as:-

Compostable baby wipes, bin bag holder (much excitement over this from a well know Chinese site), bottle opener, coffee machine, inflatable wind break, flexible hose pipe, ice maker, midge repellent light, portable power supply, rechargeable food blender/ hairbrush / hoover / fan / toothbrush, silver screen, spirit level and  tension rods.

I'm sorry to say we won't be selling any of these any time soon, but I had a great time researching new gadgets for our van. Thank you!
